Coastal defence- Norfolk sand

An interesting article for coastal defences. To protect a gas terminal on the Norfolk coast huge amounts of sand have been shifted to change the dynamics of the waves and therefore the sediment. Is this a more sustainable approach and one which does not starve the coast further down of sediment.
