Congratulations for your illustration and explanation of the meandering process. I am fascinated by the process in the deltaic portion of the lower Rio Grande corridor where it has been natural and man-made, with obvious
binational political ramifications.
Is there a geographical term for the landform between the curves of the river channel prior to the cut-off or formation of the ox bow lake (resaca in Spanish)?
Wow!! I've learnt a lot. This really helped me understand how Ox-bows are formed. Better than the text book I've been reading. Can you get anything on Levees?
